Changes to the rent laws

On June 14, 2019 New York State passed the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019. This new law makes many changes to Rent Stabilization and how the Housing Court functions. These changes will increase tenants’ rights and the time available for certain court processes. We are working on updating our website and information sheets to reflect the changes.
