What information will I have to provide when I apply for help from a charity?

When you call our hotline or a charity, you may be asked about your Housing Court case, how much rent you pay each month, how much total income you have, how much back rent you owe and the reason(s) you fell behind. Many charities and HRA require a “breakdown” from the landlord showing each month owed and how much. Some charities may ask if you have a housing court stipulation.
