CASA Leader Marilyn Mullins and CASA organizer Hal Bergold will use Ms. Mullins’ tenant association campaign present on some tactics tenants use in order to get repairs through collective action, including forming a tenant association, filing a rent reduction, and taking the landlord to court for repairs via an HP action. In this presentation, we will discuss how member-led models lead to longer-term tenant power, as well as discuss the struggles of organizing long-term.
