What if I pay everything by the deadline?

If you pay what you owe, go back to court to show the judge proof. File an order to show cause (OSC).

Ask for the judgment to  be vacated or satisfied. This is proof that you no longer owe the money.

Ask for the case to be closed. This prevents the landlord from sending you a marshal’s notice from this case instead of starting a new case if you fall behind again.
