STEP 1
The grievance starts with an interview with the Manager.
You can testify and show proof. If the manager decides you are not entitled to a lease, they will send a GRIEVANCE SUMMARY to the Borough Management office for an automatic review.
You will not get a notice.
STEP 2
The Borough Management office will send you PENDING REVIEW-REMAINING FAMILY MEMBER GRIEVANT.
The claim is under review and you can bring more proof to the Borough Management office within 10 days.
You can ask for an interview.
The Borough Management office will decide within 30 days.
STEP 3
If the Borough Director denies your request for the lease, they will send you a MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT-GRIEVANCE SUMMARY.
Request a hearing at the Impartial Hearing Office within 10 days.
They will send you a letter with a date and time for the hearing.
They will also tell you why NYCHA thinks you are not eligible for a lease.
